Origin and world of the character (Lore)
Originally published by Ideal in 1963 before becoming a mainstay of Hasbro's catalogue, Mouse Trap was one of the first mass-market board games to incorporate a three-dimensional board that worked like a Rube Goldberg machine. Players collaborate to build a complex and wacky mechanical mouse trap consisting of gear wheels, a ramp, a steel ball and a diver figurine, while moving their respective mice to collect pieces of cheese. The game's jubilant climax comes when one player turns the crank to trigger the chain reaction, causing the famous cage to fall onto the opposing mouse. This figurine celebrates the colourful, timeless pop aesthetic of this childhood classic.
