This 27 cm plush represents Obelix, the famous menhir-deliverer and inseparable companion of Asterix, from the Franco-Belgian comic strip created by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo. Designed by Barrado, this collector's item is made from soft synthetic fabric. The design faithfully respects the proportions and graphic identity of the character, highlighting his stout build, red braids, moustaches and braids with vertical blue and white stripes. Obelix is a Gallic warrior born in 85 BC, a resident of the famous little village of Armorica that is still holding out against the Roman invaders. Unlike his compatriots, Obelix does not need to drink the magic potion prepared by the druid Getafix to acquire superhuman strength: he fell into the pot of potion when he was a child, which made its effects permanent with him. With an insatiable appetite for wild boar and a great deal of sensitivity behind his imposing build, he works as a menhir cutter and deliveryman. Accompanied by his little dog Dogmatix, he travels the world alongside Asterix to foil Julius Caesar's plans and defend the freedom of his people.
