Character background and universe (Lore)

Daemons of the Shadow Realm, known in Japan as Yomi no Tsugai, is a work by Hiromu Arakawa, creator of Fullmetal Alchemist. Its universe is centred in particular on the existence of the Tsugai, mysterious supernatural entities usually bound in pairs and capable of forming a pact with a master. The anime adaptation is produced by Bones Film.

Left and Right form the pair known as Sayu-sama, literally meaning ‘left and right’. Both were once represented by two protective statues standing in Yuru’s home village. When Yuru sets them free, the two entities become her Tsugai and accompany her in the battles that follow.

Whilst Right has an outgoing and exuberant personality, Left is described as particularly belligerent, creating a very distinct dynamic between the two members of the pair. The anime’s official website also confirms that Yuru is their master and that the two entities together form one of the central supernatural duos at the start of the story.

This High Premium figurine of Left therefore comes into its own when displayed alongside Right, with the two pieces allowing you to recreate the guardian duo directly associated with Yuru in *Daemons of the Shadow Realm*.
