Origin and background of the character
Taichi Yagami (commonly known as Tai) is the main protagonist of the original Japanese animated series Digimon Adventure, created by Akiyoshi Hongo in 1999. Bearer of the Symbol of Courage, this lively and impulsive young boy finds himself transported to the Digital World alongside six other classmates. There he meets Agumon, a small yellow reptilian Digimon capable of spitting fireballs (Baby Flame) and evolving into a powerful dinosaur named Greymon. Together, they face countless trials to save both worlds from the forces of darkness. Banpresto’s “DXF-Adventure Archives” collection is specifically designed to celebrate the franchise’s anniversary, featuring meticulously crafted sculptures that bring to life the iconic settings and key interactions from the original animated series.
