Character background and lore

Stitch, also known asExperiment 626, is an alien creature created through genetic experimentation. Designed to be extremely strong, intelligent and destructive, he escapes and ends up on the Hawaiian island of Kauai, where he meets the young Lilo.

By posing as a pet, Stitch gradually discovers loyalty, friendship and the meaning of the Hawaiian word ‘ohana’, which means family. His relationship with Lilo helps him to overcome his original programming and find a home with her and her sister Nani.
