This exceptional figurine from the prestigious Ichibansho range (Fantastic Adventure 2 collection) by leading manufacturer Banpresto depicts the first and memorable pairing of the young hero and his future wife: Son Goku and Chichi. 

The figurine stands approximately 15 cm tall. In the expanded Dragon Ball lore, Son Goku and Chichi meet during the Mount Frypan arc whilst they are still children. Chichi is the only daughter of the formidable King of the Mountain, Gyumao, a former pupil of Master Roshi. During their first joint expedition aboard the Magic Cloud (Kinto-un) to seek the help of the Turtle Hermit, a naive promise of marriage is made between the two characters due to Goku’s lack of understanding of social customs. Although Chichi spends the rest of her childhood training rigorously in martial arts in the hope of honouring this commitment, Goku devotes himself entirely to his quest for power across the world. This founding alliance unites the Turtle School and the Mount Frypan lineage, transforming these two young novices into accomplished fighters whose union will give rise to powerful warriors indispensable to the safeguarding of the universe.
