Origin and background of the character

Goldorak, known in Japan as UFO Robot Grendizer, is a cult series created by Go Nagai. It follows the struggle of Actarus, Prince of Euphor, who has taken refuge on Earth, against the forces of Vega that threaten the planet. With its giant robot Goldorak, its space battles and its memorable characters, the series has become a major landmark of Japanese animation in French-speaking Europe.

Alcor, the French name for Koji Kabuto, is a key character in Go Nagai’s universe. Already known as the pilot of Mazinger Z, he appears in Goldorak as an ally of Actarus and an active member of the fight against Vega. Courageous, impulsive and loyal, Alcor brings a unique energy to the team and plays a vital role in the defence of Earth.
