Origin and background – Racing Miku 2025

Racing Miku is the annual mascot of the Hatsune Miku GT Project, a programme linked to GOODSMILE RACING and its involvement in motor racing. Each season features a new graphic interpretation of Hatsune Miku, used on the racing car as well as on a wide range of merchandise.

For the 2025 edition, the main Racing Miku design was created by illustrator Kei Mochizuki, under the artistic direction of Shigeto Koyama. This interpretation notably features a sporty silhouette and particularly voluminous long pigtails, characteristics that Good Smile also highlights on its official 1/7-scale figurine.

The Hatsune Miku GT Project thus combines Miku’s virtual world with Japanese motor racing, with Racing Miku serving each year as GOODSMILE RACING’s defining visual identity. The figurines, Nendoroids, accessories and soft toys then allow the annual design to be showcased far beyond the racetracks.

This HUGGY DOLL 2025 offers a deliberately softer interpretation of the mascot, whilst retaining the colours and recognisable elements of her racing outfit.
