Player's world and background

Francesco Totti, born in 1976, is an Italian international footballer who played as an attacking midfielder, second striker or centre-forward from 1993 to 2017. Totti spent his entire club career with AS Roma, and between 1998 and 2006 he played 58 times for Italy, scoring 9 goals in the process. He played a key role in Italy's triumph at the 2006 World Cup in Germany, finishing as the tournament's joint-top passer with 4 assists and scoring a crucial last-minute penalty in the Round of 16 win over Australia. Renowned for his vision of the game, his passing technique (particularly his back-heel), his powerful shot and his mastery of the lob ("cucchiaio"), this figurine commemorates his status as a historic figure of international football in the Italian national team jersey.
