Carry your belongings in a bag inspired by one of the most iconic scenes from *The Fellowship of the Ring*. Designed by Cerdá under official The Lord of the Rings licence, this stylish black rucksack features the striking design of Durin’s Doors – the western entrance to the Mines of Moria – on its front. Measuring 35 × 13 × 29 cm, it is ideal for everyday use, outings or as a collector’s item.
The front is decorated with fine silver-blue lines recreating the Elvish and Dwarven architecture of the gate: two columns framed by stylised branches, a crown flanked by seven stars, and a hammer and anvil. The inscription in Tengwar script forms an arch across the upper section, whilst a metallic star-shaped emblem adds a gleaming highlight to the centre of the bag.
The bag features a rounded silhouette and a black, leather-effect polyurethane finish. Its main compartment opens via a zip along the top edge. Two open pockets are integrated into the sides to keep small accessories within easy reach.
At the back, two adjustable shoulder straps allow you to customise how you carry it, whilst a top handle makes it easy to grip or hang the bag. The back and shoulder straps are entirely black to allow the detailed motif on the front to take centre stage.

Origin and lore of the design
The Gates of Durin form the western entrance to Khazad-dûm, the vast underground kingdom of the Dwarves later known as Moria. They were crafted during the Second Age by Narvi, a Dwarf craftsman, whilst Celebrimbor, the famous Elven smith of Eregion, carved the symbols and inscriptions that adorn them. This joint creation symbolised the friendly relations between the Elves of Eregion and the Dwarves of Khazad-dûm.
The designs were executed in ithildin, a material derived from mithril and capable of reflecting the light of the Moon and the stars. The lines on the door could thus remain invisible in the dark before appearing under the right light, giving the entrance its silvery and almost supernatural appearance.
The inscription is written in Sindarin and transcribed using the Tengwar, the letters of Fëanor. It refers to the gates of Durin, Lord of Moria, and contains the instruction for opening them: ‘Say “friend” and enter’. The Sindarin word ‘mellon’, meaning ‘friend’, is precisely the password.
During the Fellowship of the Ring’s journey, Gandalf must solve this riddle to open the gate and allow Frodo, Aragorn and their companions to enter the Mines of Moria. There, the group discovers the ruins of the Dwarven kingdom before facing the Orcs, the cave troll and, finally, the Balrog.
The design on this bag features the main symbols visible on the door: Durin’s crown surrounded by seven stars, the hammer and anvil, the stylised trees, and the star associated with the House of Fëanor. Against the bag’s black background, the light-coloured lines directly evoke the Ithildin inscriptions that glow in the darkness.
