Skeletor is the main antagonist in Masters of the Universe and one of the most recognisable villains in 1980s pop culture. He is constantly seeking to conquer Eternia and seize the secrets of the Castle of Shadows, the source of immense power.
A master of dark magic and a formidable fighter, Skeletor commands an army of henchmen, including Beast Man, Evil-Lyn, Trap Jaw and many other minions. He regularly clashes with He-Man, who stands as the main obstacle to his ambitions.
His appearance – a blend of wizard, warrior and skeletal figure – gives him a unique visual identity. His theatrical nature, his thirst for power and his rivalry with He-Man have gone a long way towards cementing his status as a cult villain.
