Character background and lore
Bart Simpson is the eldest son of the Simpson family and one of the most iconic characters from the series created by Matt Groening. A mischievous pupil at Springfield Primary School, he is known for his irreverent humour, his pranks and his penchant for chaotic situations.
Recognisable by his spiky hair, his skateboard and his many cult lines, Bart is often portrayed as the opposite of his sister Lisa, who is more studious and thoughtful.
Despite his rebellious behaviour, he regularly shows his affection for his family and those close to him, particularly Milhouse, Lisa and Homer, with whom he has a relationship that is as conflict-ridden as it is comical.
