Origin and character lore

Stitch, also known as Experiment 626, is a creature genetically engineered by Dr Jumba Jookiba. Endowed with exceptional strength, great intelligence and a destructive temperament, he escapes from captivity before ending up on the Hawaiian island of Kauaʻi.

There he meets Lilo Pelekai, a young girl who adopts him, thinking he is a particularly strange dog. Through his time with Lilo and her sister Nani, Stitch gradually discovers the concept of ohana: a family in which no one is abandoned or forgotten. This bond transforms the little alien and enables him to move beyond the destructive purpose for which he was created.

Angel is Experiment 624. Created before Stitch, she possesses the power to revert the other experiments to their malicious behaviour through a special song. However, the effect can be reversed when the melody is played backwards.

Stitch quickly falls under Angel’s spell, but their relationship is regularly complicated by missions, abductions and the manipulations of their adversaries. Despite these obstacles, Angel becomes one of his closest allies and shares a sincere affection with him.
