Origin and character’s universe

Venom is born from the union between an alien symbiote and the journalist Eddie Brock. Prior to this encounter, the creature had been bonded to Peter Parker, from whom it retained certain abilities and the general appearance of the Spider-Man suit. After being rejected by Peter, it bonded with Eddie and shared his deep hostility towards the hero.

The symbiote grants its host superhuman strength and resilience, the ability to alter its appearance, to produce a web-like substance and to regenerate. Venom is, however, characterised by an unstable personality: though long a foe of Spider-Man, he also acts as a violent protector when he believes innocent people are under threat.

This piggy bank features his most iconic visual elements — his black body, his white spider symbol, his fanged jaws and his enormous tongue — in a stylised design that is both practical and decorative.
