Rediscover one of the most iconic robots in Japanese animation with this articulated Mazinger Z figure from the Go! Saga collection, distributed by NECA and developed in collaboration with Takatoku Toys and Yotiro-Lab. Standing approximately 17.8 cm tall, this new interpretation retains the distinctive silhouette of the super robot conceived by Go Nagai whilst featuring a modern, highly articulated design, crafted to recreate various combat poses.

The figure features numerous interchangeable parts. It comes with the Hover Pilder with fold-away wings, which can be attached to Mazinger Z’s head, as well as a removable mask, interchangeable hands and various forearm guards. Its design thus allows you to alter its appearance and recreate several configurations directly inspired by the robot’s attacks.

In particular, the set allows you to recreate the famous Rocket Punch as well as its variation, the Rocket Punch Chain. To this end, it includes a removable forearm, a propulsion effect, a metal chain and a display stand. The set is the first release in the Go! Saga range, designed as a modern tribute to the history of Japanese super robots.

Mazinger Z is the super robot created by Go Nagai and Dynamic Production and popularised by the Toei Animation series broadcast in Japan from 3 December 1972 to 1 September 1974, comprising a total of 92 episodes. The work has become one of the seminal works of the super robot genre and has profoundly influenced the mecha series that followed it.

In the original story, the scientist Juzo Kabuto uncovers the ambitions of Dr Hell, who seeks to conquer the world using an army of fearsome mechanical monsters. Before dying as a result of an attack orchestrated by Dr Hell’s forces, Kabuto entrusts his grandson, Koji Kabuto, with the gigantic robot he had secretly built: Mazinger Z. Powered by Photon Power, it becomes Koji’s main weapon against the enemy machines.

Mazinger Z is equipped with numerous weapons that have become iconic, including the Rocket Punch, which propels one of its forearms towards the opponent. The robot is piloted from the Hover Pilder, the small craft used by Koji to take control of Mazinger Z. The Go! Saga action figure faithfully recreates these historic elements by including the Pilder as well as several parts that allow you to recreate the Rocket Punch and the Rocket Punch Chain.
