Origin and lore of the creature

In Minecraft, cats are passive creatures that players can encounter mainly in populated villages, but also in witches’ huts located in swamps. Several different coats and appearances exist in the game, allowing players to find and adopt cats with a variety of patterns.

A wild cat can be tamed using raw cod or raw salmon. Once tamed, it wears a collar, follows its owner and can be commanded to sit. Although it does not take part directly in combat, its presence is particularly useful: Creepers and Phantoms avoid approaching tamed cats.
