Character background and lore

Lacus Clyne is a hugely popular singer from the PLANTs and the daughter of Siegel Clyne, Chairman of the ZAFT Supreme Council. Initially known for her gentle demeanour and celebrity status, she gradually reveals great moral strength as well as a deep opposition to the escalating conflict between the Naturals and the Coordinators.

Convinced that peace cannot be achieved through hatred or domination, Lacus plays a major political and symbolic role in the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED universe. She supports Kira Yamato and helps to unite those who reject the logic of war imposed by the various factions. Her voice, charisma and determination make her one of the central figures of the SEED saga.
