Origin and background of the character
Marshall D. Teach, feared worldwide under the alias Blackbeard, upsets the global balance in the pirate masterpiece One Piece, born from the fertile imagination of mangaka Eiichiro Oda. A character of unrivalled patience and cunning, he concealed his ambitions for decades whilst serving in Whitebeard’s crew before committing the irreparable act of seizing the Dark-Dark Fruit (Yami Yami no Mi). His Machiavellian rise to power led him to hand Portgas D. Ace over to the Navy, to seize the seismic powers of the Quake Fruit (Gura Gura no Mi) at Marineford, and to claim the title of Emperor of the Seas. This 15 cm figurine captures Blackbeard’s characteristic massive build and dark charisma. The sculpture faithfully recreates his pirate captain’s attire, his traditional hat, the pistols tucked at his waist, and his expressive face marked by his uniquely mocking grin. Its compact size makes it an ideal piece to fit easily into a diorama or on a shelf dedicated to the Grand Line’s most notorious criminals.
