Origin and background of the characters

Snoopy is Charlie Brown’s famous beagle. With a boundless imagination, he dreams of being, in turn, a First World War pilot, a writer or a laid-back student under the alias Joe Cool. Despite his many imaginary adventures, he also enjoys meals, naps on the roof of his kennel and the company of his friends.

Woodstock is his faithful companion. This little yellow bird, who first appeared in the comic strip before being given his name in 1970, is known for his clumsy flight and his chirps, which Snoopy seems to be the only one who can understand. He regularly accompanies the beagle on his excursions and in his imaginary scenarios.
