Product origin and universe

The elements in this set are directly inspired by the science-fiction film trilogyBack to the Future, created by Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale in 1985. In the plot, the "Time Machine" is a time travel device designed by scientist Emmett "Doc" Brown based on a modified DeLorean DMC-12 sports car. To function, the system requires 1.21 gigawatts of electrical power and a precise speed of 88 miles per hour (about 141 km/h), propelling young Marty McFly through different eras in the history of the town of Hill Valley.
