Origin and world of the character
This figurine is directly inspired by the graphic identity and famous geometric patterns of the Spirograph, a revolutionary drawing instrument invented by British engineer Denys Fisher. First presented in 1965 at the prestigious Nuremberg Toy Fair, this geometric drawing tool is based on an ingenious system of plastic wheels and toothed rings. By moving the tip of a pen through the perforations of the toothed wheels rotating inside fixed rings, users create superb, complex mathematical curves called hypotrochoids and epitrochoids. From the 1960s and 1970s onwards, the Spirograph became an essential global phenomenon in popular and creative culture, brilliantly combining art, geometry and entertainment, leaving its mark on generations of young designers and fans of retro creative activities.
