Boost the ranks of the Separatist army with this articulated B2 Super Battle Droid figure, measuring approximately 9.5 cm and part of Hasbro’s Star Wars: The Vintage Collection. Inspired by its appearance in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, it depicts one of the formidable mechanical soldiers deployed by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Battle of Geonosis.

The figure features detailed sculpting and multiple points of articulation, allowing you to recreate various combat poses. Its massive silhouette, metallic grey armour and cannon integrated directly into the forearm faithfully reproduce the B2 droid’s robust appearance on screen.

Unlike the B1 battle droids, the B2 Super Battle Droid has reinforced armour and superior firepower. The figure comes with an accessory representing its arm cannon, as well as a translucent firing effect, allowing you to create a dynamic display on a shelf or in a diorama dedicated to the Clone Wars.

Origin and character lore

The B2 Super Battle Droid is a mechanised infantry model developed by the Techno Union to address the main weaknesses of the B1 battle droids. More massive, tougher and better armed, it is designed to advance directly under enemy fire and engage organic soldiers on the battlefield.

Its thick armour allows it to withstand more fire than B1 units, whilst its right arm incorporates a blaster cannon capable of delivering significant firepower. Unlike standard droids, it does not usually carry a separate weapon and is less reliant on tactical orders transmitted by a command unit.

B2 Super Battle Droids appeared in large numbers during the Battle of Geonosis, where they faced off against the Jedi and the Republic’s new clone army. They were subsequently deployed on numerous fronts during the Clone Wars and became one of the most recognisable units of the Separatist army.
