The formidable Imperial Stormtrooper joins Hasbro’s Star Wars: The Black Series collection in a version inspired by the 1985 animated series Star Wars: Droids. This edition features the iconic white armour of the Empire’s soldiers, with stylised detailing in keeping with the cartoon’s retro aesthetic.

Standing approximately 15 cm tall, the figure features detailed sculpting and multiple points of articulation. This allows it to strike various poses, whether on patrol, on guard duty or in combat, whilst retaining the characteristic proportions of Imperial soldiers.

Character background and universe (Lore)

Imperial Stormtroopers form the main military forces of the Galactic Empire. Recognisable by their white armour and full-face helmets, they are deployed across the galaxy to maintain imperial order, protect strategic installations and suppress movements opposed to the regime.

Recruited and trained to obey a strict chain of command, Stormtroopers are equipped with blasters and various survival devices integrated into their armour. They operate on Star Destroyers as well as in Imperial bases, occupied cities and hostile environments.

Unlike the Republic’s clone troopers, Stormtroopers of the Imperial era are primarily human recruits. Their uniform appearance erases their individuality and contributes to the Empire’s cold, organised and intimidating image.

The animated series *Star Wars: Droids*, which began airing in 1985, is set before the events of *Star Wars: A New Hope*. It mainly follows C-3PO and R2-D2, who serve various masters and find themselves caught up in adventures involving smugglers, criminals, pirates and Imperial forces.

In this universe, Stormtroopers frequently serve as soldiers, guards and enforcers in the service of the Imperial authorities. Their presence represents the constant threat posed by the Empire and forces the heroes to resort to flight, cunning or infiltration.
