STAR WARS - Pencil Holder 3D

Origin and character background (Lore)

R2-D2 is an astromech droid specialising in maintenance, navigation and technical support. He accompanies several generations of heroes throughout the saga and plays a vital role from the events leading up to the Clone Wars.

During the struggle against the Galactic Empire, R2-D2 carries the Death Star plans entrusted to him by Princess Leia. His mission leads him to Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Han Solo, thereby contributing directly to the formation of the group that would join the Rebel Alliance.

Although he cannot speak human language, R2-D2 communicates using beeps and electronic sounds that are perfectly understood by his companion C-3PO. His courageous, resourceful and sometimes stubborn nature enables him to resolve numerous critical situations, whether it be repairing a ship, hacking into a computer system or transmitting a crucial message.

The numerous panels, sensors and indicator lights reproduced on this pencil pot are a precise replica of the tools built into the droid’s body. Its cylindrical shape lends itself naturally to the creation of a container, thus transforming R2-D2 into a functional desk companion.
