Origin and character lore

Stitch, also known as Experiment 626, is an alien creature designed by the scientist Jumba Jookiba to be exceptionally strong, intelligent and destructive. After escaping and landing on the Hawaiian island of Kauaʻi, he is taken in by a young girl named Lilo.

Thanks to Lilo and her sister Nani, Stitch gradually discovers the meaning of the Hawaiian word ‘ohana’, which means family. Despite his boisterous nature and destructive instincts, he learns to protect his loved ones and becomes a full member of their household.

Angel, or Experiment 624, is a creature created before Stitch. She has the ability to sing a particular melody that transforms rehabilitated experiments into malevolent beings. The effect can, however, be reversed when the song is played backwards.

Angel shares many physical characteristics with Stitch, but is distinguished by her pink colour, long antennae and gentler personality. An affectionate bond develops between the two experiments, who become one of the most beloved duos in the Lilo & Stitch universe.
