Origin and character background (Lore)

Stitch, also known as Experiment 626, is a genetically engineered alien creature and one of the main characters in the 2002 Disney animated film *Lilo & Stitch*. After escaping and landing in Hawaii, he meets Lilo, a young girl who decides to adopt him without knowing his true origins.

Originally designed to wreak havoc, Stitch possesses extraordinary strength and abilities, but his time with Lilo and her sister Nani gradually transforms his personality. Through his time with them, he discovers loyalty, friendship and, above all, the Hawaiian concept of ‘ohana, which places family at the heart of the story.
