Character origin and universe
Soundwave (in the French version, Laserbeak / Soundwave) is one of the most loyal, cold and calculating lieutenants of Megatron, the supreme leader of the Decepticons in the Transformers universe. An expert in communication and espionage, he possesses the unique ability to transform into a vintage cassette player. It is from his own chest compartment that he deploys his formidable miniature henchmen, cassette warriors including the fearsome and boisterous Rumble. Funko’s “Bitty Bots” range pays a magnificent retro tribute to this deployment system by bringing together these two inseparable characters in a brand-new miniature format. It is an essential collector’s item for all fans nostalgic for the original Generation 1 (G1) designs and the battles for Cybertron.
