Star Wars: May the Force be with you
Star Wars is a science fiction film series directed by George Lucas. The first trilogy (episodes IV, V and VI) was filmed and broadcast between 1977 and 1983. Subsequently, three more films were made between 1999 and 2005 (episodes I, II and III). Three more episodes will be added to the 6 already existing from 2015 to 2019.
The Star Wars universe
The official Star Wars universe gathers all the stories, places and characters that the company owning the Lucasfilm franchise considers as official. It is also known as the canon by Lucasfilm.
The saga, which has become truly iconic with characters such as Luke Skywalker, Yoda, Obi-Wan, Kenobi, Darth Vader, and Princess Leia, now has many variations. Whether in comics, video games, TV series or even fan fiction. The Star Wars collection also includes many derivative products such as clothing, figurines, mugs and many other objects in honour of this universe. Star Wars has a huge fan community that has ensured its success.
The work going beyond the Lucas films
Since the 1980s, numerous spin-off works have been created around the Star Wars universe taking place before, during or after the original trilogy released between 1977 and 1983, and the prequels released between 1999 and 2005. Known as the "expanded universe" for decades, this body of work was organised by Lucasfilm, which determines the degree to which these different works could conform to the core universe.
In October 2012, Disney acquired Lucasfilm and announced that the story of the new trilogy would follow the events of Episode 6. In an effort to clarify the universe of the franchise and move away from previous works, parts of the extended universe were joined together under the name "Star Wars Legends" released in April 2014, and it was announced that this grouping was no longer part of the official saga

The first three films in the first trilogy were released in the 1980s, at a time when the war between good and evil fascinated audiences. The Star Wars pitch
The story of Star Wars begins a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, the Jedi knights have fought a merciless battle with the dark lords of the Sith. We then follow the adventures of various colourful characters, even if it is difficult to know who of Luke or Leia is the real hero of the first trilogy, it can be said that these two characters really share the spotlight.
Princess Leia is a member of the Rebel Alliance, a woman of action with a strong personality and an iconic hairstyle. Luke, on the other hand, is the classic hero of romance stories. He is a young man from an adopted farm family, brave and courageous, who discovers life and becomes the Force and the truth about his birth.
