This exceptional model of the original Gundam piloted by Amuro Ray offers a step-by-step building experience divided into five distinct phases. First, you build the most intricate inner frame ever designed, then integrate moving actuators, genuine metal parts, chrome inserts and engraved matt plastic chips to simulate the actual internal mechanics of a giant robot.This ultra-premium model pushes the boundaries of ingenuity. The internal frame features multiple interconnected articulation points, allowing for strikingly realistic poses. The outer body is a feast of textures: multicoloured injection-moulded plastic, textured metal parts, aluminium finishes for the thrusters and over 90 opening armour panels (Hatch Open) to reveal the machine’s inner workings. A state-of-the-art LED lighting system is included to illuminate the eyes, the symbol on the torso and the translucent pink lightsaber.The assembly experience is designed for discerning enthusiasts. Despite its visual complexity and colossal number of components, Bandai’s ‘Snap-fit’ technology allows each part to be interlocked without a single drop of glue. The parts detach cleanly from the sprues for a micrometre-precise fit.
