Origin and lore of the creature

Xenomorphs are extremely aggressive alien organisms, capable of adapting rapidly to their environment. Their biomechanical form, acidic blood, great speed and predatory instincts make them particularly difficult creatures to fight.

Their reproductive cycle generally begins with an egg containing a Facehugger. This clings to the face of a living organism in order to implant an embryo. After an incubation period, a Chestburster emerges from the host before growing rapidly to reach its adult form.

A Xenomorph’s final appearance can be influenced by the biological characteristics of its host. This ability explains the morphological differences observed between the creature’s many variants throughout the franchise.
