Origin and background of the character
The character of Caitlyn Kiramman originally appeared in the online battle arena (MOBA) video game League of Legends, developed by Riot Games, before becoming one of the central protagonists of the animated series Arcane. The plot explores the growing social, political and technological divide between the utopian, affluent city of Piltover and the impoverished underground districts of Zaun (the Undercity). Born into the high aristocracy of Piltover, Caitlyn joins the Enforcers (the local law enforcement) to conduct her own investigations. She later teams up with Vi, a fighter from the slums, to try to unravel a series of conspiracies and threats that threaten the political balance of the twin cities.
