Origin and world of the character (Lore)
Released in 1995, Babe, the pig who became a shepherd tells the extraordinary story of a young orphan piglet taken in by taciturn farmer Arthur Hoggett. Raised among sheepdogs Fly and Rex, Babe discovers a unique gift and an unexpected vocation: guiding sheep. Unlike methods based on force and intimidation, he wins the respect and obedience of the flock through politeness, kindness and dialogue. The formula "Bah-Ram-Ewe" (Baa-Ram-Ewe) is the sacred rhyme handed down by the old ewe Maa, serving as a universal code of trust between Babe and the sheep. Thanks to this secret, the little pig went on to achieve top marks in the great sheepdog competition, proving to the whole world that it is possible to break free from the roles imposed by nature.
