Origin and character’s universe
Released in 1985, directed by Robert Zemeckis and produced by Steven Spielberg, Back to the Future is an absolute masterpiece of world cinema. The plot begins in the car park of the Twin Pines Mall in Hill Valley, where the eccentric and brilliant scientist Emmett ‘Doc’ Brown unveils his brand-new invention to his young friend Marty McFly: a time machine built into a modified DeLorean DMC-12 car. To cross the time barrier and activate the time convector, the vehicle must reach the fateful speed of 88 miles per hour, powered by plutonium. During the initial demonstration, filmed by Marty’s camera, the dog Einstein becomes the very first time traveller in history, propelled one minute into the future and leaving behind nothing but two spectacular trails of fire. This sumptuous Funko Pop! ‘Moment’ diorama accurately captures the amazement and joy of the two friends at this scientific breakthrough, establishing itself as an essential centrepiece for all film buffs.
