Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey — 3,730-piece Brick System model
Recreate one of the most unique military aircraft in modern aviation with this Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey model from Revell’s Brick System range. Comprising 3,730 bricks, this 1:25 scale kit is a major building project for enthusiasts of aeronautics, mechanics and technical models.
The model captures the V-22’s distinctive silhouette, with its transport fuselage, raised tail unit and two imposing engine nacelles at the wing tips.
The engine nacelles are movable and can be positioned vertically or horizontally. This feature allows the Osprey to be displayed in vertical take-off configuration, similar to that of a helicopter, or in horizontal flight mode, akin to the operation of a turboprop aircraft.
The model also reproduces several external and internal features of the aircraft, including the cockpit, the passenger cabin and the rear loading ramp. The bricks are designed to fit together precisely and form a stable structure without the need for glue.

Origin and history of the aircraft
The Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey is a military tiltrotor aircraft jointly developed by Bell and Boeing. Its design combines the take-off, landing and hovering capabilities of a helicopter with the speed and range of a turboprop aircraft.
During vertical take-off or landing, the two engine nacelles are angled upwards. The large propellers then function like helicopter rotors and generate vertical thrust.
Once the aircraft is airborne, the engine nacelles gradually pivot forwards. The V-22 then transitions to aeroplane configuration, enabling it to achieve significantly higher speeds and greater range than traditional transport helicopters.
The maiden flight of the V-22 programme took place in March 1989. Following a lengthy development and evaluation phase, full-scale production was authorised in 2005, and the MV-22B entered operational service with the United States Marine Corps in 2007.
Several variants were subsequently developed. The MV-22 is mainly used by the Marines for transport and assault operations, whilst the CV-22 is suited to special forces missions. The CMV-22 is used in particular for logistical missions between land and US Navy aircraft carriers.
