Origin and background of the character

Cardcaptor Sakura is an iconic work by CLAMP, which has become one of the defining titles of the magical girl genre. The story follows Sakura Kinomoto, a young girl who discovers a book containing the mysterious Clow Cards. After they scatter, she must capture them one by one with the help of Kerberos, whilst learning to master her magical powers.

Sakura is known for her bright, courageous and kind-hearted personality.
