Pochita is depicted sitting on his folded hind legs, with both front legs stretched out in front of him. His orange body retains its characteristic rounded silhouette, whilst a long grey chainsaw blade extends from his snout. The black handle on its back and the starter cord forming its tail faithfully complete its appearance.

The face is the main distinguishing feature of this ‘Crying’ version. The character’s large black eyes are surrounded by white highlights and blue tears, giving Pochita a particularly sad expression. Origin and character lore

Pochita is the Chainsaw Demon and Denji’s first true companion. Wounded when they first met, he strikes a deal with the young boy: Denji offers him his blood to keep him alive, whilst Pochita helps him hunt demons to pay off the debts left by his father.

Despite his demonic nature, Pochita behaves like a small, affectionate and deeply loyal animal. He accompanies Denji for several years and shares with him a life marked by poverty, dangerous work and particularly modest dreams, such as eating bread and jam or living a normal everyday life.

When Denji is mortally wounded, Pochita fuses with him and replaces his heart. In doing so, he passes on his chainsaw powers to him, giving rise to Chainsaw Man. Their contract is based on a simple request: Pochita wishes to continue seeing Denji’s dreams and encourages him to pursue the life he has never been able to experience.

Pochita’s endearing appearance contrasts sharply with the immense fear his true identity instils in the demon world. This figurine plays precisely on this contrast by depicting the fearsome Chainsaw Demon in the form of a distraught little companion, whose tears emphasise his sensitive and endearing nature.
