Character background and lore

Adam Smasher is one of the most feared characters in the Cyberpunk universe. A former human mercenary who became almost entirely a cyborg after suffering severe injuries, he has gradually discarded most of his organic body in favour of extremely heavy military augmentations.

In the Cyberpunk 2077 universe, he is closely linked to the Arasaka megacorporation, for which he acts as a henchman and enforcer. His reputation rests as much on his power as on his almost total lack of empathy.

In *Cyberpunk: Edgerunners*, he appears in the series’ final arc as the ultimate adversary of David Martinez and his group. His overwhelming power and mastery of military implants make him a true embodiment of Night City’s technological violence.
