Character background and lore

Jiji, whose real name is Jin Enjoji, is a childhood friend of Momo Ayase who gradually joins the main Dandadan group. Behind his highly energetic and often comical demeanour lies a character who is directly confronted with the most dangerous supernatural phenomena in the series.

His story is notably linked tothe Evil Eye, a powerful entity that eventually uses Jiji as a vessel. Under this influence, his appearance and behaviour change radically, giving rise to the so-called ‘Transformed’ form depicted by this soft toy. BEM’S also uses the same name for its other products dedicated to this transformation.

This duality makes Jiji a particularly interesting character: his usually cheerful nature contrasts sharply with the power and aggression of the entity that inhabits him.
