DEATH NOTE - POP Animation N° 2382 - Ryuk

This collectible vinyl figure represents the god of death Ryuk, published by Funko in its Pop! Animation collection under official Death Note licence. Made entirely from PVC, it features the creature with yellow eyes and sharp teeth, holding an apple, his favourite snack.

Ryuk is a major character from the manga and animated adaptation Death Note, a work created by scriptwriter Tsugumi Ōba and cartoonist Takeshi Obata. As a Shinigami (God of Death), he leads a monotonous and repetitive existence within the spirit world. Out of sheer idleness and in search of entertainment, he chooses to abandon his supernatural notebook, the Death Note, in the human world after writing down the rules for its use. The artefact is picked up by the brilliant student Light Yagami, who uses it to execute criminals by remote control. Ryuk establishes himself as a neutral and distant observer, accompanying Light throughout his ideological drift, motivated only by his curiosity about the human race and his marked addiction to terrestrial apples.
