Marie is depicted sitting, holding a large pink bow in front of her. Her white coat, pink ears, big blue eyes and the little ribbon on top of her head recreate the key features of her appearance in the film. The flocked finish creates a soft, textured surface reminiscent of her fur.

A slot at the back allows you to insert coins and small folded notes. The contents can then be retrieved via a removable plastic stopper located at the bottom of the piggy bank, preventing any damage to the item when it is full.

Character background and lore

Marie is one of Duchess’s three kittens in the Disney film *The Aristocats*. She lives in Paris with her mother and her brothers, Toulouse and Berlioz, in the home of Madame Adélaïde de Bonnefamille.

Recognisable by her white coat and pink bows, Marie is elegant, affectionate and sometimes slightly bossy with her brothers. She strives to adopt the good manners taught by her mother, whilst retaining the curiosity and energy typical of a young kitten.

When the butler, Edgar, discovers that the cats are to inherit their owner’s fortune, he tries to abandon them far from Paris. Duchesse and her kittens then meet Thomas O’Malley, a stray cat who helps them find their way back home.

During their journey, Marie and her family also meet several animals, including the geese Amelia and Amélie, as well as the musicians from the band Scat Cat. Their adventure gradually transforms O’Malley, who eventually chooses to join Duchesse and her kittens to form a new family.
