Origin and character background (Lore)

Stitch, also known asExperiment 626, is one of the iconic characters from the Disney animated film Lilo & Stitch. Artificially created by the alien scientist Jumba Jookiba, he was originally designed to be an extremely resilient, intelligent creature capable of causing chaos.

After escaping and finding refuge on the Hawaiian island of Kauaʻi, Stitch meets Lilo Pelekai, a young girl who adopts him, thinking he is a strange animal. This encounter gradually transforms his life and introduces him to the concept of‘ohana’ – family – where no one is abandoned or forgotten.

The world of Lilo & Stitch is strongly associated with Hawaii, its tropical landscapes and a colourful aesthetic, which explains the frequent appearance of flowers, tropical fruits and summery motifs in the range’s merchandise.
