Origin and character lore

In Dragon Ball Super, Universe 7 is the home world of Goku, Vegeta and most of the saga’s iconic characters. It is ruled by the God of Destruction, Beerus, assisted by his angel and mentor, Whis. This universe plays a central role in several story arcs, notably during the battles against Frieza, the inter-universe tournaments and the Tournament of Power.

Faced with the threat of their universe being wiped out, Goku assembles a team of fighters with very different backgrounds.
