This vinyl figurine from the famous History Box themed collection by leading manufacturer Banpresto depicts the most fearsome and ruthless assassin in the Red Ribbon Army: Taopaipai (Tao Paï Paï).

The figurine stands approximately 13 cm tall, making it the perfect addition to a display cabinet or a themed collector’s shelf. The unique concept of the “History Box” range stands out by capturing the characters in iconic narrative poses, combined with a miniature backdrop to recreate the atmosphere of legendary scenes from the original work. In the first part of the Dragon Ball saga, Taopaipai (the younger brother of the Master of Crows, Tsuru Sennin) is portrayed as the world’s most ruthless assassin, demanding colossal sums of money to eliminate his targets. Recruited by the Red General of the Red Ribbon Army to recover the Dragon Balls and eliminate the young Son Goku, he demonstrates surgical cruelty by killing the warrior Bora with a single thrust of his spear. Taopaipai has also become famous in pop culture for his eccentric method of travel: he hurls a heavy stone pillar or a tree trunk into the air before leaping onto it to travel across continents at supersonic speed. The first opponent to completely outclass Goku in hand-to-hand combat, he forced the young boy to scale the legendary Karin Tower to undergo divine training. This seminal duel ended with the assassin’s defeat, as he was blown up by his own grenade, before reappearing years later as a vengeful cyborg during the World Martial Arts Tournament.
