Origin and background of the creature

The Glantassin is a creature from the Dragon Quest bestiary. Its Japanese name, Petit Hero, refers directly to its appearance as a miniature hero kitted out for adventure.

It belongs to a family of small humanoid monsters that includes, notably, the Gland Priest, the Combaglant and the Glanvoûteur. Each member embodies the visual characteristics of a traditional role-playing game class, such as the warrior, the priest or the mage.

The Glantassin appears notably in Dragon Quest V and Dragon Quest VII. Despite looking like a little adventurer, it remains a monster that the player may encounter during their journey.
