FANTASTIC BEASTS - Magical Creature - Thunderbird

The Thunderbird is a huge bird with golden eyes, four pairs of wings and a forked tail. It is capable of creating storms whilst in flight by generating rain clouds, establishing itself as one of the most majestic, powerful and respected creatures in the wizarding world.

Directly inspired by the film Fantastic Beasts (2016),the Thunderbird is a mythical bird native to the arid climate of Arizona. Closely related to the Phoenix, this giant bird possesses the unique ability to sense imminent danger and unleash lightning barriers. Captured and chained by traffickers in Egypt, he is fortunately rescued by the magizoologist Norbert Dragonneau, who names him Frank and makes it his mission to return him to his native lands. At the conclusion of the events in New York, Norbert masterfully utilises Frank’s abilities to disperse a diluted potion of Demonzémer via a torrential downpour, thereby erasing the magical memories of No-Majs (Oubliette) and preserving the secret of wizards.
