Lore and history of the object:In the Final Fantasy XIV universe, Cait Sith is not a simple feline, but a highly intelligent magical pet created during the Fifth Astral Era of the ancient Empire of Mhach. A loyal guardian of the Vortex of Foam and the Ark of the Void, this character crosses paths with the Warrior of Light during the series of raids in the Heavensward expansion entitled 'The Shadow of Mhach'. Once the servant of the great magic mage Ceslea, Cait Sith has been fighting for centuries to prevent the awakening of the demon queen Scáthach, imprisoned at the heart of the ghost ship. His regal appearance, with its miniature crown, conceals a proud temperament, a particularly polished language and the ancestral knowledge needed to thwart the plans of the historical Black Mages.
