Himmel is a major character from the manga and animated fantasy adaptation Frieren(Frieren: Beyond Journey's End), created by Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe. Known as "Himmel the Hero", he is the charismatic leader of the group of adventurers who, after a rigorous ten-year journey, managed to defeat the Demon King and restore peace to the world. Characterised by his selfless courage, deep-seated kindness and a touch of self-assumed narcissism, he left his mark on the lives of his companions, particularly the elf-mage Frieren. The work is distinguished by its original narrative approach, beginning after the dissolution of the group and exploring the grief and memories of Frieren, who, unaffected by the passage of time, realises the brevity of human life after Himmel's funeral and now seeks to better understand humans.
