Origin and background of the franchise

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End begins after the Demon King has been defeated by a group of heroes. The story follows Frieren, an elven mage whose exceptionally long lifespan gives her a perception of time that is profoundly different from that of her human companions.

Following the disappearance of several members of her former group, Frieren realises that she never really took the time to get to know them. She therefore embarks on a new journey to better understand humans, their emotions and the memories left behind by their encounters.

Accompanied in particular by Fern and Stark, Frieren travels through various regions, faces magical creatures and retraces the steps of her past adventure. The series blends fantasy, humour, combat and contemplative moments reflecting on the passage of time.
