Origin and setting of the franchise

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End takes place after a group of heroes has defeated the Demon King. The story follows Frieren, an elven mage whose perception of time is very different from that of humans due to her exceptional longevity.

Following the gradual passing of her former companions, Frieren realises the brevity of human life and regrets not having sought to get to know them better. She then embarks on a new journey, accompanied notably by Fern and Stark.

The series alternates between adventure, magic, humour and contemplative moments. It places great importance on memories, human relationships and the traces left by past encounters.
