Origin and backstory of the characters (Lore)

Frozen tells the story of the two princesses of Arendelle, Elsa and Anna. Since childhood, Elsa has possessed the power to create and control ice and snow, an ability she struggles for a long time to master and which she tries to hide from those around her.

After her powers are revealed during her coronation, Elsa flees to the mountains and accidentally plunges the kingdom into a perpetual winter. Anna then sets out to find her, in order to bring her back and restore summer to Arendelle.

During her journey, Anna meets Kristoff, a mountain man who works in the ice trade. He is accompanied by Sven, his faithful reindeer, whose expressive nature and close bond with Kristoff add a significant touch of humour to their adventure.

The group is later joined by Olaf, a living snowman created by Elsa’s magic. Enthusiastic, naive and deeply affectionate, Olaf paradoxically dreams of experiencing the warmth of summer.

Above all, the story highlights the bond between Elsa and Anna. Their sisterly affection proves to be the true form of love capable of saving Anna and enabling Elsa to control her powers without being overcome by fear.
